The effect, our kitchen ceiling
Last night was suppose to be a low key night, we were going to put the girls to bed and then relax and watch some t.v. I look forward to Thursday nights as FlashForward, Grey's and Private Practice are all on back to back. Well last night went a little differently than we had planned as obvious by the pictures. I was doing one last check of my email when Paige walked in and had lotion on her face and hands. I didn't think anything of it, I just told her she was silly that she needs to ask me for the lotion instead of doing it herself. Cory was in the girls bathroom touching up a few places I had missed from my repainting earlier in the day (that is a another story for another day). I got up to go get Paige's pajama's on when I heard water running. I knew that it was coming from the master bathroom as the girls bathroom is still not up and running. I immediately panic knowing exactly what I am going to find when I walk in the bathroom as we do not have a overflow hole in our sink. I walked in and sure enough there is water EVERYWHERE!! Apparently Paige was trying to get some of the lotion off her hands and left the water running. I call to Cory, he runs in to see the tsunami and then takes off to the basement to get towels. As he is going downstairs I hear him yell, "it is coming through the ceiling". We got as much of the water soaked up as we could, however, quite a bit had already run down and under the vanity which we could not move. We had to get buckets and place them in three different spots in the kitchen, it was horrible all we could do was stand there and watch as the water poured and I am not kidding you by saying poured from the ceiling. Poor Cory just when he could see the end in sight of projects around the house, now he was to repaint the ceiling, hopefully that will do the trick and he doesn't have to replace the whole thing.
NO WAY!!!!! Does that explain why you all have come and gone about 20times today. Man, everytime I looked out the window or was out myself driving, one of you were pulling out the driveway or down the road:) Don't all sinks have that little whole?? I guess you better watch out, as things happen in 3s. Ist your basement, now this...yikes! hope you are having a better day. Oh, and LOVED private practice and FF. Greys was okay.
ReplyDeleteOh no! That just stinks. We had a similar issue when Tia flushed her pants down the toilet and it overflowed into our basement. Ah kids...
ReplyDeleteOH MY! You'll have a story to tease her about later in life.
ReplyDeleteOh no! Just when Cory was ready to relax. House projects are never over!!!!
