Why I Love Fall

It is that time of year again when we can enjoy some family fun outside and not be dying of the heat. We went apple and pumpkin picking this weekend with my mom, dad, sister, brother in law, niece and nephew. First we watch the canon shoot pumpkins all the way across the fields until they were out of sight, pretty cool. Then we hopped aboard the wagon and went out to the fields for some apples. We were told by our friends that Honey Crisp were the ones to get, however, they are apparently one of the first apples to get picked back in September so we got some Golden Delicious and they were good as well.

Here are Paige, my nephew Adam, Claire and my niece Lauren they all get along so great and love each other just like they were all siblings, too much at times. :)

Paige isn't holding back either, she got right up in the tree to find hers

Claire picking out only the best to take home

We have the apples now on to get a pumpkin

Here is Claire with the pumpkin that she wanted

Paige is pretty easy going so she didn't really care, all she was worried about was lunch.

They had a great time on the rides too, we even got to watch some pig races and get up close and personal with some cows, goats, deer etc.

What did all of you do this weekend, anyone else go apple picking or to get pumpkins??

  4. It was a great day yesterday for apple picking. That's one thing we always forget to do with our kids. Maybe we'll try it this year.
