100th Day and Other News

Today was the 100th day of school for my little Kindergartner so we were suppose to make a tee shirt with 100 different items on it for a parade. I made a quick run to Hobby Lobby and grabbed some of those stick on foam stickers. We ended up with hand prints, smiley faces and flowers, turned out cute if I do say so myself and Claire had fun doing it.

Other news.....we have a doctor's appointment tomorrow with a Pediatric Surgery for my sweet Paige. She has had a bump on the back of her head down by her hair line for a good 3-4 months now. I took her to see the Pediatrician a month ago since it didn't seem to be going away, at first I thought it was just a in grown hair, but turns out that it is a cyst. He referred us to a Pediatric Surgeon as it needs to be removed, of course he was booked and it took forever to get her in however, tomorrow is our consultaion. It is a good thing too as we noticed earlier this week that the bumps is getting bigger. Please, please say a prayer for my little Paige that the cyst is minor and that the procedure they are going to do is a very simple one.
Here are a few pictures of her from this morning all smiles with her ponies!

Flu, flu go away!

I hope all of you have been staying healthy because we are having a horrible run of the flu at our house. It started with Claire on Saturday the 8th and had her up getting sick every 20 minutes from 5pm until 2:30am! I then came down with it on Tuesday the 11th and was up all night getting sick every hour from 8pm until 6:30am. I thought we had dodged the bullet and that Cory and Paige weren't going to get it after all it had been 5 days but NOPE, this past Sunday Paige started to get sick around 8pm and did so every 30 minutes or so until 3:30am!!! Talk about a tired mommy, that would be me. So Cory is the last man standing only time will tell if he gets it or not. If I were a betting women, I would bet not, as he always seems to get by without getting whatever strain is going through the house. Not to sound mean or wish sickness on the daddy's out there, but don't you think that if anyone should be protected against getting sick it should be the moms at least the stay at home moms. How are we suppose to stay home and take care of the kids when we are feeling like death and only wanting to be left alone. It was hard on Wednesday the day after I had been up all night getting sick, all I wanted to do was sleep (since I really hadn't gotten any the night before). Normally Cory would have stayed home that day and taken a hold of the reins, but he couldn't as he was starting his new position that day at work and had meetings all day. Lucky for me I was able to call my dad, who is retired, and he helped me get the girls off to school and then back home. The rest of the day they were angels and left me alone for the most part, checking on me every hour or so. Between t.v. and each other they were able to stay entertained and happy until daddy got home.
How about all of you, have you been able to stay healthy???

What's in Store

Hello blogger friends, sorry I have been MIA the last couple of months! I am going to try my hardest to get back into blogging at least twice a week.

2011 is starting off as a year to look forward to. In March Cory is heading to Vegas for a business conference and I am going to meet him there at the end of the week. We will stay for 3 nights and have some time to enjoy/focus one each other without the girls around. While we are there we plan to see Cirque du Soleil one night and a comedian another. This is going to be the first time that I will have ever left the girls besides a night here and there. I am fine with it though, they are at the ages now, almost 4 & 6, that they know their own wants and needs and how to express them. Plus, they will be staying with my parents for 2 days and Cory's parents for the other 2 days so who better to leave my own babies with than those that raised us.

Then later in March is my birthday, I will be turning 34 and am hoping to be able to celebrate it with a girls night out with two good friends. My best friend lives in Mississippi, but is going to be in town for a conference the end of March so we are trying to work it out so she can come a day or two early so we can celebrate before the conference begins. My other friend is someone who I was REALLY good friends with in junior high and high school and have gotten back in touch with via Facebook. So hopefully the three of us along with some other friends that I have gotten back in touch with through Facebook (gotta love FB for that reason)will have a fun night out for my birthday.

In either late April or sometime in May the girls are planning a weekend trip to the wineries. The wineries are about an hour and a half drive from home so we will head out in the morning, have some wine all day :) and then stay the night down there. The next day we are hoping to be able to hit a Outlet Mall that is only about another 20 minute drive and do some shopping before heading home.

Then in June Cory and I are hoping to take the girls to Siesta Key,FL for the vacation that we were suppose to do last year but canceled due to us moving and the oil spill. We asked the girls if they would rather go to Disney World or the beach and they both immediately responded "the beach", so the beach it is. Cory doesn't want to take them to Disney for a few more years anyway so they will be older and able to really enjoy it and I am much more of a beach girl so everyone is happy!

Also, as you will see at the top of my post I have a weight loss meter, a new year means time to change and get this body back into shape. I started my diet this week and hope to lose 20lbs before my trip to Vegas in March.

What are your plans for 2011?
