Picture Wednesday

I realize that I haven't posted any pictures of the girls in quite awhile so those of you that live out of town, here you go............. Last week was Spring Break for us so Cory took the day off work Wednesday and we went to the Zoo as a family. I can't remember the last time we all four went together! Here is Paige and as you can tell from these pictures. Her personality is something, that is the only way I can describe it. She is such a character and always keeps me on my toes! Daddy & Claire inside the Penguin house. Riding the train and look what she has in her hand. No big surprise there she has one of her MANY monkeys! I can't believe this school year is almost over and my baby is going to start 1st grade in the fall. A new sculpture they have outside the zoo. The girls thought this was really neat as you could see how big a elephant truly is compared to people. 5 hours later on our way home!

Final Day in Vegas

As promised here are some pics from our last day/night in Vegas, I will warn up now there are a lot.

Who watches the TV show "Pawn Stars" that shows on the History channel? We will do at our house, it is one of Cory's favorite shows and is based in Vegas so we had to go check it out. I couldn't believe when we arrived the line of people that were outside waiting to get in. We had to wait for probably 15 minutes.

A picture I took from inside the store shooting towards the door, see all the people. Unfortunately I think most were fans and not "true" shoppers.

Cory by the gun case.

We have rode the van as far up the mountain as we could and had to hike it the rest of the way up. Here I am along with Cory's aunt Lisa who lives in Vegas, we made it, gear and all. Behind me to the left you can see a glimpse of Lake Mead.
Cory and his aunt and you can see Lake Mead better.
Cory and I waiting to take the first of four runs down the mountain. If you look closely you can see the cables to the right of Cory's shoulder.

Here is the first run, if you look closely (maybe even click the picture to enlarge it) you can see two red shirts on the line, those are two of our instructors and the landing platform.
This is not another picture of the lake but a picture of the landing platform. It is that little square thing dead ahead in the middle.
2nd run you can get an idea of how high we were, loved it!
Another hike from the 2nd station to the 3rd. Those steps were killers. I have long legs and I could barely get my leg up to each step without tripping.
3rd and longest run. Again if you look hard enough and have good enough eyes you can see the landing platform waaaaaaaayyyyyy over yonder.
Go Lisa!
I'm ready.
Wahoo, Cory!
Downtown Vegas on Fremont Street after seeing a comedian.

This guy was amazing. Using just spray paint and cardboard he painted.......
this........
Having a good time and getting ready to gamble baby!

Probably my favorite picture of Cory and I from the trip.
Playing some roulette. I had some really good luck and was able to stay at this table for at least 2 hours. Didn't win big, but it was fun to just be able to keep playing.

Vegas Day 2

Here is a picture of our hotel during the day. You can see there are two different towers, the east and west. We stayed in the east tower which is the smaller of the two and the one on the left of this photo. It was nice and quiet, however, a bit of a pain at the same time. In order to get out of the hotel you had to walk through the lobby of the east tower then through the casino and then through the lobby of the west tower every time. My advice to anyone who goes to Vegas and stays at the Cosmo, ask for the west tower.

Picture of it a night all lit up, from a different angle.
Our second night we went to see O at the Bellagio which was right next door to the Cosmo. I had on nice black pants and shoes for the show, however, after the show was over and before we went to get dinner we went back to the hotel and I changed in to jeans and flip flops. This chandelier that I am standing in front of was in the west tower and was 3 stories high. It cost 32 million dollars to build.
We did a little gambling Friday night after the show as well. I don't usually play slots but I did sit down and put in a few dollars so the girls could see a picture of me "gambling". We also played some roulette but neither of us where doing very good so we headed out.
Us in front of the Bellagio fountains. It was after midnight so the fountains were off but it is still such a pretty view.
We even saw Michael Jackson! Doesn't this guy look like him, it was kind of freaky. We saw a lot of others dressed up, during the day on Friday but I left my camera at the hotel. We saw Darth Vader, Captain Jack Sparrow, Batman and Yoda. You never have a dull moment in Vegas.

Be back on Monday with our third and final day. We went zip lining and gambled some more the last night down at Fremont St.

Vegas

First day/night in Vegas.

We were lucky and were able to stay at the new hotel they just built The Cosmopolitan. Here is a look at our room, it was really nice. We found out that normally this room would cost $400 a night. We were lucky and didn't have to pay that much as we got the group rate that Cory's work paid throughout the week for the nights that we were there.

The door is to the left of this picture so when you first walk in you see the sitting area. They was also a nice desk with a docking station for your computer and a flat screen TV above the desk that could rotate towards the couch.

Across from the desk was your "kitchen" I guess you could say, with a fridge and microwave. They also had food stocked that you could eat, however, it was very overpriced so we didn't eat yet alone touch it. The food was on a scale and if you took it off this scale for more than 60 seconds regardless if you ate it or not, you bought it.

If you were to continue going straight you would go through a short walkway with closets on your left and the bathroom on your right. Straight back to the big king sized, pillow top bed!

The bed: there was another flat screen TV directly across from the headboard that was mounted on the wall. You can also see a crystal light fixture, there was another one in the sitting area.

The bathroom, the door to the right is where the potty was. Nice double sinks!

Shower was HUGE! I swear it was so big that 6 adults could all fit, if you are into that sort of thing. Yikes!!
If you walked through the shower you could get to the sunken tub.
View from our balcony, this was 1 of 3 pools at the hotel.
Here Cory and I are at another one of the 3 pools! It had a gorgeous view.

Here is the view from the pool it was hard to get one as I had to reach over the glass so I didn't get a reflection.

After dinner at the In & Out Burger we walked around the strip for a little while.
The fountains outside the Bellagio, I love watching the water "dance" to the different songs.

I was really dragging the first night as my time clock was 2 hours behind Vegas. So even though it was only 10pm Vegas time my body was telling me it was midnight and way past my bedtime. I will post our second day/night tomorrow.
