Anyone out there that has an idea I would love to hear it. I have this wall in my kitchen that is begging me to do something with it and I just don't know what. The most obvious thing is to get some pictures/paintings to hang up, however, I can't find anything that I like. I have been to at least 6 stores and nothing. I have also thought about getting some sort of cabinet/table to put along the wall and then decorate the cabinet as well as putting pictures on either side of the cabinet, but if I do that there isn't much room then between what would be the cabinet and the table. Got the rug over the weekend from Lowe's. It is great because it pulls in the browns from both the kitchen and dining room as well as the blue from our family room.
Here are some pictures of the rest of my kitchen so you can get an idea of what I have to work with. I am going to get some cute curtains to hang over my sink, probably black and white.
The desk area, what do you think of maybe putting a cute saying on the soffit above the desk?

ok. you asked and i can't help myself but put my 2 cents in. i like the idea of shelves, maybe floating ones staggered in the dining room. a matching one above the clock would be cool. if you don't put anything above the clock you may want to mount it higher. it's centered between the counter and ceiling, but visually i like it centered between the canisters and ceiling. the canisters are awesome btw.

red chair cushions (handmade ones are cute and easy) would add a pretty pop of color to the rooms without distracting from the others. you could even carry that over to the curtains over the sink.
