Surgery

We took Paige to the Pediatric Surgeon last week for a consultation regarding the bump she has on the back of her neck by her hairline. Cory and I pretty much already knew going into the consultation that the bump was going to have to be removed and that most likely they would have to put her under to do the procedure. Come to find out the bump started out as a clogged hair follicle and the oils have hardened therefore forming the bump. We asked what would happen if we did not get the bump removed and the doctor told us that in time it would become infected therefore causing more serious problems. So tomorrow is her surgery and just as we had thought it has to be removed and she needs to be put out for it, I think it is safe to say that we all are anxious, nervous, sacred etc. The doctor assured us that putting her under with anesthesia is safer than putting her in the car to drive her to the hospital for the surgery, however, there is not a mother out there that you can assure that putting her child under is no big deal. I will be a nervous wreck until the surgery is done and she is awake talking to me. I will keep you all posted!
